It's been the busiest week of the year for me. Me and team had to do photo shoot for Fairground and House of Wilde's new collection. It's nothing until we found out that we have to shoot 500 pieces of cloth for website catalog. It could be damn tiring, but thank God for an awesome team and fun moments during photo shoot. They definitely eased the weight!
Thursday noon at work. This is what we , --Indonesians usually call "Magabut". It means doing nothing at work but still get paid. It doesn't mean I don't have anything to do, I just done my tasks and have to wait until the d-day when I'll get crazy busy at the photo shoot location next week. I was browsing for hours to find fashion trends and stuffs (that's what we usually do if we don't have anything else to do) and I found one photo post from The Coveteur and it says "Doodle Not Drugs". Not so sure why they use cigarettes to represent drugs but it's still a good concept overall, especially for Anti Drugs Campaign.
As all we already know, lots of young people now a days hard to find passion of things and choose to run to negative ways instead, for example into drugs. And I think, all they need to do is distracting themselves from bad habits and getting themselves busy by finding their abilities to do such of great things like building small business, making musics, and/or creating arts. Art is the easiest way to start. Creativity is a gift we got since we were born, that makes each person has potential to be an artist. Some people realized about it and find their ways to develop the gift they got, while others choose different ways. It worked on me. Drawing is a gift I thought I won't ever have, but since I recklessly tried it for the first time, I keep carrying this on and (thank God) I got lots of positive responses from others. Now move your ass, grab your old crayons and start doodling, because it possibly works on you too. GOOD LUCK! An astonished masterpiece made and directed by Irina Dakeva @ Wizz. She's graduated from Penninghen Art School and becomes a talented Director ever since. She always combines drawing, illustration, design, and animation into one outstanding art. You can find one of her masterpiece in Breakbot's official music video --"Baby I'm Yours". This sickness is a composition of approx 2000 images watercolor painted one after another. Really lots of work to do, and definitely worth more than appreciation.
Hi, great people! As I told you on my last post, I'm gonna post some pictures of my new place. It's still a mess actually, I can't find time to clean everything up but I love my new place. It's small, but so comfy and homey! Big wide windows and purple wall are my most favorite parts so far. I took the picture above, right before I painted the right side wall. Not even a fan of purple, but I'm glad I made a right decision. I love my new wall, it's fashionably lovely! Oh! Hello, Cous! (My cousin moves in with me. She owns upstair. Looks like she loves it so much. Ha!) There. My territory. Still waiting for my sofa bed, need to add this and that, clean shits up, and re-arrange stuffs.
My weekend was awesome! I went to Indonesia's first art battle that was held at Mantra, Seminyak. As quoted, art battle is a live painting event that introduces a novel way for the audience to participate in the conversation between artist and culture. Five local and international artists (Arief Bachtiar, Rik Lee, Stuart Smythe, Stacy Hamer, Natisa Jones, and Inés Katamso) were being given 2 hours to contemplate, concept, and attack their board or canvas in a bid to best represent a common theme announced to them by Mantra's discerning Judging Team. They were being voted by the audience, and ended up with Ines Katamso winning the battle. It was awesome, the artists were goddamn great, it's really inspiring especially for me. I need to learn and practice harder and more. Probably I could join the battle one day :D :D
I slept over at Dui's 2 days a go. She has this grey big wall on one side of her studio that we can doodle anything we want over there with crayons. She asked me to draw something there and I can tell you that it might not my best drawing but it was really fun! I want to do it again hopefully soon!
Anyways, I just moved to my new place and I love it so much. It's still messy but I'll post some pictures over here, maybe tomorrow. xx |
